I have been an effective learner this year by asking questions when I don't understand the instructions being given. Not only do I ask the teachers but my peers as well. We have been taught to ask our peers before asking the teachers because more times than not they will know the answer. I also keep an agenda in which I write all my assignments therefore I always turn them in on time. I would have to say that my agenda really helps me a lot, as I go through the day I have so many thoughts that by the time I get home often times don't remember the homework that was assigned. Thanks to my agenda that isn't a problem! Lastly I always try to be aware of everything that is going on in the classroom that I am in.
For example, I work a lot with Mrs.Ortega because she is my service learning person and something that her and I do great is that we always communicate. I think communication is important so that both persons are aware of what is happening. Mrs.Ortega and I are always emailing each other and updating each other on things that need to get done. Another example is that even though I know we usually have service learning every Tuesday I always try to make sure I ask her if were going to have it that day. Also, for my Senior project there have been terms in my research that I am not familiar with so I take it upon myself to look up the terms and find out what they mean.
For second semester I can improve by starting on my work sooner instead of waiting a little bit before the deadline is due.I don't purposely do this but sometimes I get wrapped up in other things that I forget to put my priorities first. I am not too terrible about this, for the most part I am pretty good but for second semester I will definitely try to have better time management.
